Epic Quest
Controls
* When exploring, use WASD or Arrow keys to move around the map.
* In combat, click on enemy to attack (you can hold the button down to keep attacking).
* Click FLEE button to try to flee.
Tips
* Stand on an Inn to exchange gold for rest, over time.
* There is a day/night cycle! Time moves faster while resting.
* The game will save your progress automatically on whatever browser you are using.
* You can find extra shields and weapons around the map to increase your attack and defense scores!
* You can find a secret passage in the dungeon.
Notes
* Epic Quest emulates the ancient Paperian game known as Phantasmia Ulagoglious.
* The Paperians of Bulgaria played this game with graph bark, thinned, smoother and painted on with natural inks.
* This emulation of course automates many of the tasks they would perform manually, bringing it into the modern 70's format
realised by the French academics who built this loving recreation for anthropological longevity.
* It was intended that you meet a skeletal boss in the dungeon, but that never got implemented.
* When you find the sword, you can drag it into an inventory slot. But it doesn't really do anything! Just press FLEE to leave that screen and return to the dungeon.
* When you finish the dungeon, you have finished the game.
* Music taken from Betrayal at Krondor and Bo Hansson's 'Attic Thoughts'.
* Skeleton animation by Brendan Barnett the Benevolent.
